Brief objective of program

This programmes aims to provide learners with:

  1. Development of knowledge in Fiqh Al-Sunnah through research based on the
    systematic/enquiry process and its outcomes;
  2. Enhancement of communications and leadership skills, and attitudes, ethics, sense of professionalism for societal advancement within the framework of the institutional and national vision;
  3. Use analytical and creative problem-solving skills to evaluate and make decisions based on research evidence and experience;
  4. The quest for knowledge through lifelong learning in line with the changes in Fiqh Al-Sunnah and its practices;
  5. Research outcomes that are relevant to the national and international development; and
  6. Dissemination of research in Fiqh Al-Sunnah through publications.

 

Programme Learning Outcomes

At the end of the programme, graduates must be able to:

  1. Demonstrate originality and independence in undertaking analytical and critical evaluation, and synthesis of complex information, specialized concepts, theories, methods and practice in Fiqh Al-Sunnah.
  2. Apply knowledge critically and integratively to manage and resolve complex issues in Fiqh Al-Sunnah through research, using advanced techniques, tools, skills or by a range of approaches for decision making and producing new ideas, and innovative solutions.
  3. Conduct standard and specialized research methods, skills, tools and techniques which are informed by knowledge at its latest development in Fiqh Al-Sunnah.
  4. Communicate effectively the knowledge, skills, ideas, critique and conclusion of Fiqh Al-Sunnah using appropriate methods to specialist and general audience professionally in appropriate language.
  5. Competently use a suitable digital and analytical tool techniques to enhance Fiqh Al-Sunnah, research, work, practice and address defined new situations and problems.
  6. Demonstrate intellectual leadership qualities and management skills at work, class and manage to work within own team and collaboratively with other teams to resolve complex disciplinary and unpredictable situations.
  7. Exemplify self-advancement through continuous academic development, Initiate and lead entrepreneurial projects.
  8. Demonstrate adherence to legal, ethical and professional codes of practice, and confidence to give advice and make decision on complex issues. And Contribute to social and economic development both nationally and internationally. And Demonstrate ability to engage on a range of civic and global issues in one’s own area of expertise.

Admission Requirements

  • A relevant Bachelor’s degree (Honours) with good grades from MEDIU, or any other institutions of higher learning recognized by the university OR any other certificate that is recognized by the university and equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree (Honours) or other relevant professional qualification and experience that are recognized by the University.
  • A relevant General Bachelor’s degree (without Honours) with at least one year working experience, and, if deemed necessary, an applicant may be interviewed and/or required to sit for an entrance test in order to determine determine the applicants eligibility for admission to a specific programme.
  • The department of faculty may, with the approval of the University Academic Council (UAC), require the applicant to satisfy additional conditions for admission to a specific programme.
