Program Learning Outcomes

The aims for this programme are to prepare graduates who:

  • Have advanced and specialized knowledge in all aspects of interpretation, Quranic sciences and the seven recitation.
  • Have satisfactory Arabic to understand the classical sources (turāth) in interpretation, Quranic sciences and the seven recitation.
  • Are able to apply Quranic moderate principles and ethics in dealing with contemporary circumstances, problems and issues.
  • Possess relevant knowledge, skills and aptitude to meet job specifications, especially in managerial capacities; including to have ability to enter to the labour market with a leadership in it,
  • Possess skills for getting knowledge and information from reliable sources for research, lifelong learning and career development
  • Are able to carry out supervisory role in teamwork and are aware of their social and ethical responsibilities; including to Participate in activities of local communities related to the field of interpretation and Quranic sciences such as Quranic’s competitions and seminars of knowledge.
  • Are able to write simple scientific researches with presentation in interpretation, Quranic sciences and the seven recitation.
  • Have critical, analytical and problem-solving skills in order to deal with the suspicions that is raised against the Quran using critical thinking and logical argumentation; and
  • Have good exposure to current thoughts and intellectual trends that have impact on Quranic text understanding, perceptions, beliefs and practices in society.
  • Are able to relate the interpretation, Quranic sciences and the seven recitation with other branches of Islamic learning;
  • Behave with morals of al- Qur’an, which lead to discipline in professional working and bearing the responsibility of knowledge.

 

Entry Requirements

On Campus & Online
  • The applicant must successfully pass the preparatory program offered by the university and obtain – at least – a score of (2.00).

or

  • The applicant must have succeeded in at least two of the main subjects of the STPM.

or

  • He must have a diploma recognized and approved by the Malaysian Accreditation Authority, with a grade of no less than Good.

or

  • The applicant must have successfully passed the exams for the Malaysian Religious High School Certificate (STAM).

or

  • The applicant must have obtained any approved and equivalent academic certificate from the university equivalent to the requirements referred to above.
